All the Ballparks Car Windows Mounted on Wall

Dad was going to take the stickers all off the car at the end of Spring Training 2010. Instead, though, we replaced the side windows using some of the leftover money from the trip budget (we spent way less on gas and food than budgeted). Now the windows are mounted in my bedroom.

For the most part I am going to keep them as they ended up after being on the car for almost a year. However, we lost the Cardinals sticker after we got home in August and I think I will replace that to have it complete team logo wise. I am not going to fix the missing letters from the words, though, as it gives it the used look showing they really were on the car for a while.

Day 76: Final Day Group Photo with National League Side of Car

Before we left Texas for the final drive home we had Mom take a photo of Mik, Dad, and me in front of the National League side of the car as our end of trip group photo. We choose the National League side to pose by partially because the final team was in the National League. The main reason, though, was that all our favorite teams are in the National League. Mik threw his last fit of the trip because we made him be in the photo, but it was worth it to get him in the photo, so we have one of our few group photos of the trip.

Car Sticker Update: Lion Country Safari

The final bumper sticker we put on the car was the one for Lion Country Safari. We technically went before the Marlins game, but we actually bought it the day before going on the safari and then did not remember to put it on until the day after we went on the safari. The sticker has the Lion Country Safari logo and then an image of several of the animals they have at the safari.

Car Sticker Update: KOA

At the last KOA we got a bumper sticker and cut off the name of the particular KOA (West Palm Beach). Since we spent most of the trip staying at KOAs it seemed appropriate to add the KOA logo sticker to the back window of the car.

Car Sticker Update: Florida Marlins

The final team logo sticker to represent us visiting all 30 MLB ballparks this summer was the Florida Marlins. The sticker for the Marlins is the Marlin fish logo. Dad put it up after we got it at the Team Shop and before the game. After the game Dad and I took photos of each of us in front of it, but Mik would not pose. I did finally get one with him five days later and will be posting that after a few other posts.

Car Sticker Update: Tampa Bay Rays

We got the Rays sticker at the team shop before the game and Dad put it on the car in the parking lot before we got in line to go inside Tropicana Field. Since it was the last one for the American League side I took photos of him putting it on. The Rays sticker has the diamond Rays logo with a baseball in the background. The American League side filled up quite well with the stickers for the league’s 14 teams.

Car Sticker Update: Texas Rangers

The sticker Dad got at the Rangers game is a circle one. The outer circle says Texas Ranger and has a baseball at the top. The inner circle is the Texas Rangers circle logo with a T on a baseball in the middle. Only one more ballpark and sticker and the American League side of the car will be complete.

Car Sticker Update: Houston Astros

We thought we were going to be without a sticker for the Astros, as none of the Team Shops or souvenir stands had any stickers. Thankfully, though, stickers ended up being one of the things in the goodie bag we received at the Astros game. The sticker is the Astros star logo. Only one more ballpark/sticker and the National League side will be complete. Actually, the whole car will be complete with all 30 teams as long as we get stickers once we visit the final National League team, the Marlins, since that is the final game of the trip.

Car Sticker Update: Washington Nationals

The sticker we choose for the car at the Nationals game is one of the rectangle ones. It says Washington Nationals on the top. It has a baseball as part of the design and has a curly W logo on the baseball.

Car Sticker Update: Atlanta Braves

At the Braves game we got a sheet of stickers since that was the only option. Dad chose to put the sticker that says Braves, has a tomahawk, and a baseball on the car.

Car Sticker Update: Coca Cola

At the World of Coca Cola Dad got a Coca Cola sticker the car, but it turned out to actually be a cling. He ended up having to put it inside the car and it cannot really be scene through the tinted back window. It is in the bottom left corner. From the outside it is supposed to be a red circle that says Coke, but the only side I could get a decent photo of is the side inside the car that says Atlanta Home of Coke.

Car Sticker Update: Baltimore Orioles

The American League side of the car is getting very full even, as only two more of the six remaining ballparks we need to see are American League ones. The one Dad got for the Baltimore Orioles says Orioles and has the Orioles bird above the team name.

Car Sticker Update: Independence National Historical Park

We found a bumper sticker at the Independence National Historic Park and added it to the back of the car. The bumper sticker has an image of the liberty bell on the left side. It says Philadelphia Birthplace of Liberty Independence National Historical Park.

Car Sticker Update: Philadelphia Phillies

At the Phillies Team Shop we got a set of stickers. We could have put a sticker of just the Philies logo on to the National League side of the car, but instead we decided to go with the special one. The special one honors the Phillies being the World Series Champions last season. It is a ball and bat design that says Phillies World Series Champions in the middle. Below the ball is a little Phillies Liberty Bell logo.

Car Sticker Update: New York Mets

For the New York Mets we did not just get a team logo sticker like we have done for most teams. We went with the special Inaugural Season one like we did for the Yankees. Not that the new field for the Mets deserved a special sticker for the car, but oh well we got it before we really got into the rest of the park and experience the rather monotonous ballpark experience that is going to a home Mets game.

The sticker is actually pretty interesting. It has the Citi Field Inaugural Season 2009 logo on the left side. On the right it says New Home of the Mets with the Mets being the Mets baseball skyline logo. Also on the right is a view of the ballpark, but it is kind of crappy at least when put on the dark window of the car. It can be noticed if you get close to it, especially if you know to look for the outline.

Car Sticker Update: Boston Red Sox

At the Boston Red Sox game we got a sticker with the Boston Red Sox logo with the red socks in the middle of the circle. Now that the Boston Red Sox sticker is on the American League side of the car that side is getting quite full. Only three more teams to see in the American League, so it is not like we need that much more space on this side. Good thing there are fewer American League teams than National League, as it seems a lot of the bigger stickers we ended up with are American League, especially the Seattle Mariners one.

Car Sticker Update: New York Yankees

The main team shop did not have just a Yankees logo sticker. Dad was thinking of going to one of the souvenir shops across the street, but I decided we should just get the Inaugural Season one. It is a view of the field with a small NY Yankees logo in the upper left corner and a small Inaugural Season logo in the upper right corner. It seemed fitting to get it since it is new this year and says the year of our road trip.

Car Sticker Update: Chicago White Sox

We originally had a cling sticker for the White Sox, but we lost it in the rain in Denver. In Cooperstown I found a replacement sticker at the same store I found a Reds sticker. Now the American League side is back to being up-to-date.

Car Sticker Update: National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum

At the National Baseball Hall of Fame we found some stickers for the back window of the car. Dad put them in the center of the back window. One is a bumper sticker that says National Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown, N.Y., Est. 1939. Next to that he put the National Baseball Hall of Fame logo sticker.

Car Sticker Update: Cincinnati Reds

Despite looking three different times when we were in the Cincinnati area we never could locate a Reds sticker there. In Cooperstown we went through several shops before I finally found on that had a Reds sticker. It is a baseball logo one like we have seen at a lot of other team shops including the Angels, where we got one like it. Now the National League side of the car is up-to-date with all the teams we have seen.
