Kj's Baseball Collection: Wrigley Field 100 Years Brick and Ivy

I probably wouldn't have got this ball if I had gone into the store with Mik and Dad, but better they got too many than nothing.  It seems I have a bunch of Wrigley ones with the brick wall and ivy design.  They are all slightly different and having one for the 100th Year of Wrigley is cool to go with the others, I guess.  I just like the official ball better.

The official MLB ball with the Wrigley Field 100 Years logo is the one I wanted to get when we went to the 100th Birthday Game.  It is even cooler that they had the ones for the game, though, as they are only using this style today while the logo without the date is being used at the games at Wrigley all season.  Of course, buying it is not as cool as getting one from the game, but better than nothing and actually I like it better than the other souvenir one Dad and Mik also choose for me (I was holding our spot in line to get in the park while they souvenir shopped before the game).

Kj's Baseball Collection: Huntsville Stars

The only souvenir baseball option at the Stars was a white one with the Hunstville Stars logo.  Actually a really cool logo, though, so I'm glad I got one for my collection before the team leaves after this season.

Kj's Baseball Collection: 1993-2012 Chipper Jones

Chipper Jones Baseball
I did not even think of getting a baseball when we were at the Chipper Jones Number Retirement game because I remember them having nothing special back in 2009 when we went to Maddux's number retirement.  However, I guess because Chipper Jones was a much more major player for the team they did have merchandise (or they have learned from people wanting to buy stuff and there being nothing) including a baseball with an image of Chipper Jones and the years he was active/a Brave.

Kj's Baseball Collection: Braves Spring Training 2013

Braves Spring Training 2013 Baseball
After being somewhat disappointed in the Nationals Spring Training ball option, which I probably would not have gotten if it was not my favorite team, I was really excited to find a cool one when we went to see the Nats play the Braves at Champion Stadium.  The ball features a Spring Training 2013 logo with palm trees and says Grapefruit League.  The Braves logo is kind of hidden in the logo, but as a non-Braves fan I do not mind that at all.

Kj's Baseball Collection: Curly W Spring Training 2013

Nationals Spring Training BaseballI was kind of disappointed that they do not really have an unique Grapefruit League logo and the Spring Training 2013 logo is for both Arizona and Florida, but I still decided to get the baseball to for my collection.  Certainly better than the plain white ones they had with the Curly W.  The Strasburg and Harper ones were more interesting, but I am not much into collecting the player specific baseballs.

Kj's Baseball Collection: Las Vegas Alien

Alien Las Vegas 51s Baseball

When we went to Cashman Stadium back in June, I choose an alien logo ball as my Las Vegas 51s ball for my collection.

Kj's Baseball Collection: Marlins Park Inaugural Season

Miami Marlins Park Inaugural Season 2012 Baseball

The ball I choose when we went to the Marlins Park back in May was an Inaugural Season one.  Since it has the new Marlins logo on one side I did not get a separate ball for the new logo like Mik did with the mini bats.

Kj's Baseball Collection: Target Field

Target Field BaseballAt Target Field I was able to get a ball featuring an image of the Target Field plaza entrance.  It also has the Target Field logo and the Twins logo on it.

Kj's Baseball Collection: Tucson Padres

They had a few different ball options, but nothing all that cool. An inaugural season or something that said 2011 would have been cool, but the silver one is not bad, especially since the Tucson Padres logo itself is pretty nice.

Kj's Baseball Collection: All Star Game 2011

I did not plan to get a ball at Opening Day 2011 at the Dbacks because I already have so many Dbacks balls and not to mention other baseballs, so am now much pickier. However, I kind of liked the idea of an All Star Game ball for my collection, although I did not particularly think this one was awesome enough to get, but Dad got it for me anyways when he went to the Team Shop.

Kj's Baseball Collection: International Minor League All Stars Autographed Ball

Last Monday before the Home Run Derby at Hi Corbett, they had all the All Stars for the International Minor League All Star Game (Golden Baseball League vs. Northern League) available for getting autographs from. I got a Golden Baseball League official ball from the Team Shop and got about half of the All Stars to sign it. I ran out of room on the ball before I could get everyone. Still a pretty cool souvenir to add to my collection.

Kj's Baseball Collection: Dbacks Opening Day 2010

At Opening Day yesterday, I got a souvenir baseball in honor of Opening Day 2010 with the Padres and Dbacks logos. Mik had hoped to find a mini bat, but they did not have one and he settled for a souvenir pin.

Kj's Baseball Collection: Toros Inaugural Season

Back on Monday when Dad and I went to the Tucson Toros game I got a baseball for my collection. Mik did not go along, but we would have gotten him a mini bat if they were not all pink ones. The ball I got was a Inaugural Season Tucson Toros 2009 baseball.

Kj’s Baseball Collection: Embroidered Marlins

The souvenir selection at the Marlins game stunk. The Team Shop is mostly about the football team that plays at Land Shark Stadium. I almost did not want a ball from here, but I ended up finding a somewhat interesting one with an Embroidered Marlins logo on it. It also has on it the MLB logo embroidered.

Kj’s Baseball Collection: Tropicana Field

At the Rays game I found a ballpark ball for my baseball collection. On one strip the ball has a view of the infield with a Tropicana Field logo on top of the image in the middle. The view of the infield is actually interesting because it was taken during the 2008 World Series, so it has the painted 2008 World Series logos in the foul territory on both base sides. The image is also with the Rays and Phillies players lined up on the base lines. The other strip has a diamond Rays logo and a TB logo.

Kj’s Baseball Collection: Boston Red Sox @ Texas Rangers

At the Rangers game I got a baseball that was a souvenir for the particular series we saw. On one side it has the logos of the Texas Rangers and the Boston Red Sox and in between it says vs. Below the logos it says Rangers Ballpark at Arlington. It was because it did say the ballpark name that I did not end up also getting the ballpark souvenir baseball I saw. On another side it has the Texas Rangers T logo on a blue background and on the side opposite that is the Boston Red Sox socks logo on a red background.

Kj’s Baseball Collection: Astros

The souvenir ball selection at the Astros was not that great. They had several designs, but they were all way too busy with very few even being the team colors. I just settled for the simple white ball with the Astros logo on one side. I was really hoping for a Minute Maid Park one, though, because I love the park’s logo with the orange fruit looking baseball.

Kj’s Baseball Collection: Nolan Ryan Exhibit Center

At the Nolan Ryan Exhibit Center I got a ball that has a blue strip and a white strip. On the blue strip it says Nolan Ryan Exhibit Center Alvin, Texas. On the white strip it has an image of Nolan Ryan pitching along with the number 34.
