Car Sticker Update: Toronto Blue Jays

The sticker we got at the Blue Jays says Toronto and below it is a Blue Jays J Jay logo.

Car Sticker Update: Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum

At the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum we got a bumper sticker that says I Rode the Carrousel in North Tonawanda, NY. The sticker also has two carrousel horses and says Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum. Dad put it in the top left corner of the back window.

Car Sticker Update: Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates sticker Dad ended up choosing was an all white colored one. It is the Pirate crossed bats logo that says Pirates.

Car Magnet Update: Louisville Slugger Museum

They did not have any stickers at the Louisville Slugger Museum, but we did find a 125 anniversary Louisville Slugger magnet. We got it and put it on the back of the car next to the KC Kansas City Royals one we had got before finding stickers for the Royals.

Car Sticker Update: Detroit Tigers

We could not find any single stickers at Comerica Park for the car, but we found a sheet of logo stickers that had some interesting ones on it. Dad ended up making a combo sticker like he did for the Royals. He used one sticker with the Tigers D logo in a baseball mitt and one that said Detroit Tigers.

Car Sticker Update: Chicago Cubs

None of the team shops at Wrigley Field carried any stickers, but one of the shops tipped us off to ushers having them in their pockets to give out. Dad ended up getting two of them and he put both on the window. Since we do not have a Reds one despite trying all three times we were in the Cincinnati area, it makes up for missing one. Plus having two Cubs ones is better than going to get another White Sox one, which Dad did try to get at Walgreens when we were in Chicago for the Cubs game, but he could not get there because of some movie premiere blocking the street.

Car Sticker Update: Cleveland Indians

Finding a sticker at the Cleveland Indians was easy for once. The sticker we choose is a circle one with the Indian logo in the middle. Yeah, I am behind and the window now also has a Detroit Tigers sticker, but I will hopefully get that update in a little bit after an update on the National League side.

Car Sticker Update: Cincinnati Reds

I have no photo update for the National League side of the car after the Reds game because it has not changed since the Rockies game. We looked at the Team Shop and the stands inside the park, but we were unable to find a Reds sticker for the car. Now both sides of the car are missing a sticker. At least the White Sox one we might fix because we are in Chicago today, but the Reds one will probably just continue to be missing.

Car Sticker Update: Kansas City Royals

Tracking down a sticker for the Royals was almost as hard as for the Twins. At the main Team Shop they had none and the employees really tried to help us find one, so we know we did not miss them there. We ended up getting a simple KC car magnet for $1 there. Later Dad found a player sticker sheet at the upper level shop and got that even though it was $15 because it had two stickers that Dad combined to make a good logo sticker on the American League side of the car for the Royals.

Now the American League side of the car has 5 team logos. That is not how many we have seen, as we have actually seen 6. However, we lost the Chicago White Sox cling on the down pour tornado warning day in Denver. Dad is going to go get a sticker one at Walgreens or the sports store he got the cling when we are back in Chicago to see the Cubs later this week, so if we had to lose one that was the best one to lose.

Car Sticker Update: Colorado Rockies

We had a little trouble finding a sticker at the Rockies, but we did end up with a bumper sticker style one. We have mostly tried not to go with this style, but at least this one is a good looking one with three different styles of Rockies logos. This sticker put the National League side of the car ahead 7 to 4. Yeah, that does not add up right to the number we should have after the Rockies being Game 12, but I will explain with the next photo of the American League side in the Royals Car Sticker Update later.

Car Stickers Update: Field of Dreams

We finally have a non-MLB ballpark sticker on the car. We had been hoping to have a sticker on there by now from Disneyland or the National Park, but the Field of Dreams was the first place we found one to put on the back of the car. It is a blue bumper sticker style one with the words Field of Dreams Dyersville, Iowa.

Car Stickers Update: Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers Team Shop was kind of disorganized. Okay, the stuff was on the shelves and where it all belonged, but it was not organized by like stuff very well. This was especially the case when it came to the stickers. Dad found several in one area including a rather tiny reflective one. We almost got a big player one that came with a separate logo one, but we finally located the regular Brewers logo one.

Car Stickers Update: St. Louis Cardinals

Yeah, the car only had the American League side ahead for a day. I am definitely a National League fan, so it is nice to keep that side tied or ahead, but it was behind one sticker before the White Sox game when Dad put the sticker on before we even went to the ballpark until after the Cardinals game when he put the Cardinals one on. The Cardinals one is a one of the more interesting ones because it has the bird holding a bat.

Car Stickers Update: Chicago White Sox

Dad got the Cubs and White Sox stickers for the car yesterday morning since he found them at a shop when he went to lunch with Mom and we have had some trouble lately finding good ones at the ballparks. I was fine with him getting them early, but I was kind of annoyed he put it on the car in the apartment parking garage rather waited until we at least got to the game. The stickers should not get on the car until we at least get to the ballpark, so it is only up-to-date for the ballparks we have been to on the trip so far. Oh well, now he knows and he will not put the Cubs on until we get to the game.

Car Stickers Update: Minnesota Twins

The souvenir kiosks in the Metrodome only had stickers with players on them. We got one, but after the game we headed across the street to the Dome Souvenirs and ended up getting a logo set of stickers much like we got at the Padres. Now the American League one has one not quite entirely circular with the Twins one having crossed bats over the circle ball with the Twins logo.

Car Stickers Update: Seattle Mariners

The sticker options were pretty sad at the Mariners. Most had players on them and that just would not do with the logo theme. We ended up settling on a white Mariners logo one. It is way bigger than all the other team ones. Actually, probably takes up the same amount of space as the four stickers currently on the National League side. At least the American League has two less teams than the National League. We just hope we do not have to settle for too many more big ones. Tomorrow with a sticker from the Twins game the sides will be even for the first time and the American League will end up ahead for the first time after the White Sox game on Friday.

Car Stickers Update: San Franciso Giants

Here is the updated version of the National League side of the car with the Giants sticker on it. It is almost has the whole Western Division, but it will not have the division complete until we see the Rockies in a few weeks.

Car Stickers Update: Oakland Athletics

I am trying to catch up on some of the posts this morning while Dad is at church, but we will soon be heading to Seattle to go to a farmer's market, used book shopping, try an ice cream place, and find a Target for Mik to get new headphones and a ball to play catch with because the baseball (one of the MLB ones he was given) is a little too small for him to catch (we played catch for about an half hour together last night at camp). Anyways, thought it most important to get the car sticker updates up before it changes. Now the American League side has the Oakland Athletics sticker on it and tomorrow we will be getting a Mariners sticker to add to it, but the National League side is still winning with four stickers with the photo of the Giants sticker and the National League side coming in the next post.

Day 9: Shrine Drive Thru Tree

Today we made several stops as we did the Avenue of the Giants scenic alternate route. One of the main stops was the Shrine Drive Thru Tree, which cost $2 a person to go through. It was totally worth the $6, though, as it was cool that they (Dad and Mik) drove through the tree and they also had some cool tree houses that I went through. Below is the video I took of Dad and Mik driving through the Redwood. Since I was not in the car I did not actually go under it in the car, but I did walk under it and we took a group photo under it seen above.

I enjoyed walking into the treehouses they had made out of Redwood trunks. One had a second floor and I had Dad, who stayed in the car with Mik, take a photo of me looking out the heart window.

The attractions at the Shrine Drive Thru Tree also included a drive on log, which Dad drove up on while I took a photo of the side with the National League team stickers.

Still lots of things to post about from the past few days, since we pretty much had no cell/internet service the whole drive today. At least the campground has great fast free WiFi service. I am going to try to get all the photos caught up on being uploaded tonight, perhaps also a few posts tonight, and probably work on more catching up on posts tomorrow. We are thinking of just doing a short 25 mile drive tour of the nearby Redwoods and nothing major since we basically did the major Redwoods today.

Car Stickers Update: Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

The American League side of the car finally has a sticker on it. Dad put it on right when we got back to the hotel after the game. The sticker is of the A Angel logo on a baseball. Tonight we should get another American League sticker at the Oakland Athletics game.
